1. GENERAL TERMS

This document regulates the general terms and conditions of the rental service, decoration, assembly and disassembly of Movie Time, Picnic, Picnc Kids, Sleep Over parties, as well as the sale and rental of Add-ons products, described on our website and provided by Tangerine & Co. Gmbh., legal entity registered under number CHE-250.005.325.

The materials contained in this website are protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws and the extraction, copying, alteration, reproduction, publication or display of any material, image or information authored by Tangerine & Co. without express authorization is expressly prohibited. By using this website, the user is agreeing with our Privacy Policy.

Tangerine & Co. reserves the right to change the terms contained herein without prior notice and the user of the website should review the content described herein whenever contracting a service. However, alterations that directly influence services already contracted will only be made by previous agreement.

Photos of products and services shown on our website are illustrative, and Tangerine & Co. reserves the right to change any item of our collection.

Contracting the services provided by Tangerine & Co. implies full and unreserved acceptance of all the provisions included in these Terms and Conditions.

2. LOCATION

Tangerine & Co. services are offered without travel charges in Zürich City, Zurich Lake area and locations within 35 km from Küsnacht (PLZ 8700). For locations more than 35km away a travel fee of CHF 1 per kilometre will incur.

3. PARTY TIME

The prices are calculated for the following periods of time:

• PICNIC: 4 hours.
• PICNIC KIDS: 4 hours.
• MOVIE TIME: 4 hours
• SLEEP OVER: overnight. Assembling and disassembling time to be agreed.

The time stated above may be extended depending on availability and by agreement between the Client and Tangerine & Co.

The Client is responsible for the safekeeping and conservation of the items provided for the event from the period of time between signing the check-in list and check-out.

4. ASSEMBLING & DISASSEMBLING

The exact location for assembling all items will be agreed previously by e-mail.

In order to facilitate unloading/loading of the material, the event venue must be easily accessible, allowing Tangerine & Co. transport vehicle to park close to the assembly and dismantling site. In case of flats located on first and upper floors, the Client must inform about existence of lifts .

Tangerine & Co. Movie Time can only take place in public areas with the appropriate permission from Gemeinde or the local authority. The Client must organize both authorisation and necessary power supply.

In the event of hiring the Movie Time product for exhibition in public spaces, the dismantling schedule must be arranged between the parties. For safety reasons, the exhibition in public spaces, such as parks, must take place before dusk, unless otherwise formally agreed upon by our team and the Client.

It is responsibility of the Client to ensure the cleanliness and availability of the space chosen for the event, so Tangerine & Co. Team is able to accommodate and assemble all the event items and structures at the agreed time. Please bear in mind that usually it takes 2 hours prior to the event to assemble and 2 hours after the event to disassemble and collect the event items.

A fee of CHF 150 per hour will be charged if our team must clean and/or make available space to assemble the events’ structure. In this case no extension of the event time will be granted.

In the case the venue is not available for entrance and assembly at the agreed time, maximum tolerance for delay is 30 minutes. After which Tangerine & Co. reserves the right to cancel the contract without refund. It is important to point that delays can compromise the assembling of other parties booked for the same date. If there is no event scheduled for the same day, an extension of the event time can be agreed upon the payment of an extra fee proportional to the price of the hired event.

At the time of the event, a check-in list will be presented to the Client (or person designated by email or text message) to certify the receipt of all items. At the end of the event, a check-out list is organized, ensuring the fulfilment of the terms contracted, as well as the return of the material in the same condition as they were in the check-in.

5. ITEMS DIMENSIONS

The area required for the assembly of the event varies according to the package chosen. Dimension of structures and items will be provided via e-mail, whenever requested and before hiring.

Upon request, Tangerine & Co. Team is able to present organisation plans for the chosen space in order to find the best way to accommodate the products.

6. SAFETY AND CLEANLINESS

Cinema screens and furniture are assembled with the safety of the client and guests in mind and cannot be relocated once placed by Tangerine & Co. Staff. Clients are not permitted to attach or hang any items to our products, furniture and structures without prior express consent from Tangerine & Co.

Tangerine & Co. SLEEP OVER Tents are designed for decorative purposes. Children should be instructed not to move or climb them.

Bed linen, clothes and pillow covers, as well as table clothes and napkins, are washed with antibacterial products. Mattresses and other textiles are sterilised using appropriate equipment, which the manufacturer guarantees the elimination of 99.9% of all viruses and bacteria present (www.laurastar.ch).

All items are cleaned, disinfected and/or washed after each event.

7. ALLERGIES & HAZARDS

Tangerine & Co. plates, included as add-ons (Lolly Bar, Charcuterie, Cinema box) are stored in adequate temperature. Once the boxes and plates have been received, the responsibility to keep them safe for consume is transferred to the Client. Fresh food must be consumed within 2-3 hours of delivery.

Anyone with food allergies must not consume from any of our bars/boxes/dishes.

Tangerine & Co. disclaims liability in respect of allergic reactions caused by any of its products.

Marshmallow firepit flames, electricity connectors and electrical appliances must only be handled by adults.

Tangerine & Co. cannot be held responsible for the inappropriate use of the items/products made available for the event.

8. RESERVATION AND PAYMENT

A 50% payment is required at the time of booking to secure your date and time. The final payment must be made up to 10 days before the event.

If the event is booked within or less then 10 days, full payment is requested.

9. CANCELLATION & RESCHEDULE

9.1. In case of cancellation made by the Client, the following policies applies:

  • The initial deposit will be fully refunded if the cancellation is made until 20 days before the event date. Cancelations made after that date are not eligible for refund. However, it is possible to reschedule the event if Tangerine & Co. is notified 10 days before the event. In this case, the Client has the right to choose another date for the event, among dates provided by Tangerine & Co.
  • Any cancellation made within 10 or less days of the event date will not be eligible for rescheduling and will be fully charged.
  • Exceptionally, in the case of cancellations made due to illnesses and/or emergency, within 10 days of the event, the Client has the right to reschedule the event within the dates made available by Tangerine & Co. There will be no refund of amounts already paid.

 

9.2. In case of cancellation made by Tangerine & Co., the following policies applies:

  • If extreme weather conditions (rain/wind) are expected for the date of outdoor events, Tangerine & Co. reserves the right to reschedule the event, unless the Client offers an indoor location for the event. The rescheduling will be made on a date to be chosen by the Client, among dates provided by Tangerine & Co. Payments already made are not refundable.
  • In the above case, it will be considered the forecast of specialized weather websites, such as www.meteoswiss.ch. The Client will be informed (via telephone, SMS, e-mail or WhatsApp) no later than 24 hours before the event.
  • Tangerine & Co. is entitled to cancel any event due to unexpected circumstances, herein considered the impossibility of holding the event by governmental issued order, such as restrictions in function of COVID, as well as in case of accident or medical emergency. Being reserved to the Client the right to choose another date for the event among dates provided by Tangerine & Co.

 

10. COMPENSATION POLICY IN CASE OF DAMAGES

The Client is responsible for the care and conservation of the items provided for the event, from check-in, until the checkout.

Tangerine & Co. is responsible for the assembly and disassembly of all items provided for the event. The items must be transported/loaded and assembled/disassembled with correct techniques. Any defect in the items provided, must be reported immediately to Tangerine & Co. Team. The item will be repaired or replaced by the Tangerine & Co. staff. In this case, models and specifications may differ from those initially offered.

No person is permitted to move, handle or repair items without the prior consent of Tangerine & Co.

In case of technical problem with the Projector or Cinema Screen that cannot be repaired or replaced on site, the customer is entitled to cancel the contract and be reimbursed for the full amount paid.

At check-in, the list signed by the parties will include all equipment and items rented, as well as a description of any previous damage on the item. The list will also include the value of each item. At check-out, the condition of all items will be verified. For damaged items (which require repair or replacement) and/or missed items, Tangerine & Co. must be immediately reimbursement by the Client in the amount stated on the check-in list signed previously. Unacceptable damage includes broken objects, structures and/or equipment; torn fabric, blankets or rugs or any other damage requiring professional repair or replacement.

Material damage caused by misuse of Tangerine & Co. items, as well as damage to third parties, during the duration of the event, are the Client’s responsibility and, therefore, must be covered and reimbursed by the Client’s insurance plan.

11. IMAGE USE

Tangerine & Co. is authorised to take photos and make videos before, during and after the assembly of the event, as well as to use the images for promotional and advertising purposes, including social media. No identification of the Client or the venue will be made, unless express consent is given by the Client.

Children and other guests will not be photographed or filmed, except with the Client’s formal permission.
